When I was in my second year at College. I was approached by the owner of the Govan Lyceum to create some visualisations of their proposed renovation of the building.
This model was recreated using the architect’s drawings of the existing and new additions to the building. I also had a site visit and took reference images which were critical in the modelling of the finer details, especially for the repurposing of existing interior rooms.
For the finished render, it was camera matched and fully composited in Photoshop.
The building is a wonderful example of Art Deco and it was a very interesting project. Unfortunately, the building still sits derelict and the vision for the regeneration of this wonderful piece of history in Govan has yet to be restored to its former glory.
