Biography

Welcome! Below you’ll find a small biography about me and who I am, where I’ve came from, and what’s brought me to where I am today.

Growing up in rural South Lanarkshire, I wasn’t short of beautiful landscapes to photograph. Landscapes are how I first started my photography, as well as astro photography.

Other than photography, I focused mainly on 3D Computer Graphics and chose to do an HNC (Higher National Certificate) in 3D Computer Animation at City of Glasgow College. I went on to continue at college with and HND (Higher National Diploma) in the same subject. I then went on to University at Glasgow Caledonian, again in the same subject area and was awarded a First Class Honours Degree (BA) in 3D Computer Animation.

Once I’d graduated, I started a job at a small retail firm, 101 Retail Ltd. They made bespoke fetish wear and I was hired to lead up an innovative project that focused on 3D scanning customers for a custom fit suit. When the project had ran its course, I continued at the company as a Technical Assistant, helping it grow and also working as the in house photographer. This is where a lot of my professional work stems from. Primarily, you’ll see a lot of fashion based things on my blog here, both in studio and on-location.

Unfortunately in 2019 I was made redundant. This gave me the courage I needed to start my own business as a professional photographer.
